Navigating Terminated Grants
We are so sorry that your grant had been terminated. We would like to provide you with some possible next steps you can take to navigate this difficult time:
Tell your elected officials: Please reach out to let your local, state, and federal elected officials know that your grant has been terminated. Let them know what work will not move forward in their district and other partners who are going to be impacted, like farmers, local businesses, and communities. You can find information on how to do that here.
Take further action: If your organization is interested in pursuing further action regarding your terminated grant, there are groups that are working to support non-profits navigating this issue.
Environmental Protection Network has many resources and guidance for nonprofits navigating the funding freeze. They are also accepting intakes for direct support for people with terminated grants. We recommend signing up for their federal funding alert emails.
Chesapeake Legal Alliance is a Coalition member that works with law firms offering probono legal support. Please fill out their intake form if you are interested in discussion your grant issues.
Lawyers for Good Government (LGG) is providing legal guidance to organizations who have lost funding due to the Executive Order focused on DEI. You can fill out their intake form here. They are also providing guidance on what do to in the document.
