Engage with Elected Officials at the Local, State, and Federal Level

  • Federal Advocacy

  • State and Local Advocacy
The funding freeze not only impacts state and local grants, but it is having a direct impact on the communities these elected officials represent—so let them know!

    • Call and/or email your state and local elected officials’ office. Also consider reaching out to your state’s Department of Agriculture to let them know as well.

    • Need help? Find your representative here. Reach out to the appropriate State Lead for information on who to contact.

    • Tell them what program is being impacted, and how it is affecting your work, local businesses, and their constituents. Use our talking points document for pointers.

    • Let us know who you talk to! Reach out to Kristin Reilly or Peter Marx to let them know who you have contacted.

  • For Projects Related to Agriculture and Impacting Farmers

    • Call and/or email your state’s Farm Bureau.

    • Need help? Reach out to the appropriate State Lead for information on who to contact.

    • Tell them what program is being impacted, and how it is affecting your work, local businesses, and their constituents. Use our talking points document for pointers.
