Keeping the water we drink clean and healthy is the number one water concern that resonates with Marylanders, yet we rarely focus on it. This event will compare the emerging threats to drinking water sources of the Potomac watershed and the Baltimore region. We'll scope out what is already being done and where the gaps are to protecting our watersheds and keeping the tap clean. There will be short presentations from experts from the Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin, Clean Water Action, Sierra Club, etc. followed by an open round table discussion with you! This comes a day after Baltimore's big hearing exploring how the city can better protect the watersheds that feed the reservoirs that feed the 5 county area.
As always this is a Free event! It is open to Choose Clean Water Coalition members, your board, staff, and any volunteers you want representing you.
Light lunch and refreshments included. (Please let me know if you have any dietary restrictions.)
